About Scholarship

Chevening is one of the UK’s most prestigious and competitive scholarships for the decision-makers of the future. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and partner organisations are funding the scholarship. The scholarship is specifically for the Master’s program degree. The eligibility criteria are quite easy for all the students. The student must have two years of work experience – unpaid internships, volunteer work, and paid internships are considered work experience. Under Chevening, students can select any course out of 1200 courses offered UK. Candidates can select any university out of 150 universities. It’s a very vast scholarship program in UK. It is UK Government’s most admired and popular study program.  

The last date to apply for the Chevening scholarship is 7 November. It is a very long process for a scholarship program. So gather your documents to study in UK because we are accompanying you through the whole process.

Benefits

Here is the list of benefits you are going to receive from Chevening. 

1. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee.
2. The candidate of Chevening will receive the monthly allowance. 
3. The airfare ticket cost will be covered by the scholarship from the home country to UK. 
4. The student will also receive an arrival allowance grant. 
5. Provision of departure grant.
6. The scholarship is also financing the visa coverage.
7. Chevening will finance all events happening in UK under the scholarship program.
8. Chevening UK will cover the quarantine cost as well (if needed)
9. The monthly allowance will be £917 per month outside London and £1134 per month inside London.

Eligibility

Chevening is a fifth star in your academic record. Read carefully the eligibility criteria before applying. Here, we are listing the criteria, read carefully, and mark check.

1. Applicant must be Chevening eligible countries. 
2. It is open for 160 countries. Check out your country before applying.
3. You can only apply to eligible courses.
4. Student must be willing to return to their home country after completing their 2 years of the degree program.
5. Candidate must have completed their bachelor’s degree. Must be equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors/bachelor degree in the UK.
6. Students should have work experience. The working duration should be 2800 hours.
7. Applicants can apply for three courses in the UK universities. 

Ineligibility for British Chevening if; 

1. Have dual or single British citizenship until you are in British Overseas Territory or have BN (O) and submit your documents from Hong Kong. 
2. A refugee living in an ineligible country. 
3. Former Employee, employee or relative of an employee worked under His Majesty’s Government (including British embassies / high commissions; Department of International Development; Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy; Department of International Trade Affairs; the Ministry of Defense; and the Ministry of Interior), or a staff member of the Commonwealth University Association.
4. Former Employee, employee, or relative of an employee of Chevening partnered organisations. You will still be awarded with Chevening if you have worked with Chevening-partnered organisations anyway. 
5. Candidates who already enrolled or studied in any of the UK’s institutions. 

Documents Required

To apply to the Chevening British Scholarship, you need the required documents listed below. 

1. Updated resume.
2. Valid passport.
3. Attested degree/transcript certificates.
4. Your options/choices of master’s degree program.
5. English proficiency certificates, IELTS/TOEFL Ibt/ PTS academic or C1 advanced. Candidates can submit it after the application as well.
6. Two official recommendation letters.
7. Supporting academic certificates.

Application

Please follow this step-by-step guideline to fill out your online application form for the Chevening British scholarship for the year 2024.

2. Create an account.
3. Fill out your data. Provide all the authentic personal information and validate it later. 
4. Start your application.
5. Complete the quiz to become eligible for the scholarship (the quiz will be related to your documents and eligibility criteria) 
6. Fill out your application and provide these documents: 

• Educational documents.
• English language proficiency letter
• Choose up to 3 courses to apply ( Conditional offers) 
• 3 courses from the unconditional offer. Must select at least one by July.
• 2 References 
• ID documents/ Passport.

Grading System mention type

• Candidate must provide their grading system according to the UK format e.g. 2:1 or 2:2 or equivalent to the 10-11 or 12-14 French system.

Deadline

The last date to apply to Chevening Scholarship UK (Fully-funded) is 7 November 2023. Applicants will be longlisted in early to mid-February 2024. Candidates will asked to submit their reference letter and the rest of the documents before the interviews.

The interviews will be taken after the selection of applicants in February till the 26th of April. The final list of Chevening rewarded candidates will be announced in June 2024.

Chevening scholars will start their journey of education in UK from the month of September 2024.
